Classic film noir with interesting footage of Hazel Scott.  Not to damn with faint praise, but Jean Gabin’s performance reminds one of Bob of Bob le Flambeur.

All’s Wells that ends well(s). Good pairing with The Man Who Could Work Miracles, Metropolis, and Mad Max. The trailer is highly recommended.

Overall — a downer.  Some very good acting.  Some sexual violence and other disturbing scenes. From Wiki:  “The film revolves around Perhan, a Romani teenager with telekinetic powers and his passage from childhood to adulthood. …  The film deals with magic realism. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Goran Bregović.

The acting was quite good.  Let’s not say too much lest we spoil it for ya.

Good pairing with Where’s My Roy Cohn and Citizen Cohn.
