Dido — a mischievous trick or prank
As in, “[they do] all sorts of comical didos.”
Etymology:
The word Dido is derived from Greek mythology. Dido (Greek: Δόλος) (“Deception”) is the spirit of trickery and guile. She is also a master at cunning deception, craftiness, and treachery. She was the Daughter of Gaia (Earth)) and Aether (Hyginus, Fabulae Theogony 3) or Erebus and Nyx (Cicero, De Natura Deorum 3.17).
She is a student of the Titan Prometheus and a companion of the Pseudologi (Lies). her male counterpart is Apate, who is the god of fraud and deception.
